I have pictures that were taken from different cameras and I am trying to put pictures in order by date created, not by their original file name. Is there a way to rename all pictures as in 2018 in order (January to December)?
thanks |

Hi Mike,
If you have a timestamp within the file you can change the file's create / modify time to the Image date and time. Use the timestamp batch method and select Image date and time. Some cameras may also also use file a name that reflects the date/time it was taken. Example: IMG_20191205_11124426.jpg. In that case, you can use the filename pattern method. Often when copying files on the computer, the timestamps are not preserved. The above methods have helped me restore the correct date/time. I that correcting the timestamp on the file is a better way to sort my photos rather than trying to rename the file itself. If you have other challenged around this, let me know.... |
