I have a large collection of music files. Format: ARTIST\ALBUMNAME\ COVER.JPG
I need to find a method that can convert to this result: ARTIST\ALBUMNAME\ ALBUMNAME.JPG The JPG files have multiple names thru out all the music folders cover.jpg, folder.jpg, cd.jpg etc. to change these to the Album name would be great I can't figure out a Method to get this done. can someone help me with this? newbie AJ |

May the help aid you: Replace method If you want to remove some words or letters from the filename and replace them with something else, you can use this method. http://www.advancedrenamer.com/user_guide/metho d_replace http://www.advancedrenamer.com/user_guide/tags_ default <DirName:X> Inserts the last directory name. eg. "c:\windows\notepad.exe" will give "windows" as result. Try this (having a backup of your files)... FROM: ARTIST\ALBUMNAME\COVER.JPG ARTIST\ALBUM\folder.JPG ARTIST\Best Of\cd.JPG TO: ARTIST\ALBUMNAME\ALBUMNAME.JPG ARTIST\ALBUM\ALBUM.JPG ARTIST\Best Of\Best Of.JPG RULE: - match any *.JPG file (use RegEx: ".+JPG") - reanme with parent folder name (use <DirName:1>) and add literal ".jpg" USE: Replace method Find: ^.+JPG$ Replace: <DirName:1>.JPG Occ: All [X]RegEx Apply to: Name and extension . |
