pairing by capture date, renaming by the other file's name

Hello!
I have a bunch of raw files and the same amount of RENAMED jpg files. Capture date is precisely the same. Now I want the raw files to get the name of the equivalent jpg.
Is that possible via scrpting?! If so, could you give me a hint please?
