Rename only every 3rd, 4th file etc in a list

I want to be able to rename files differently depending on where they are in the list of files in the list
For example every 2nd file will have one thing added to it every 3rd file will have something different added every 4th file something else etc and on down the list.

No, i'm sorry. Advanced Renamer cannot do this. Since the user interface might get pretty complicated, I don't think I will add this feature.

I can't believe that's the answer though, before I came across AR I used to use Sherrod Computers File Renamer Deluxe and it was so incredibly inferior to your product I can't even believe how much better AR is I mean they're worlds apart. But it did have the ability to what it called step which meant you could set the step to 3 for example and the rename would be carried out on every third file. I just assumed that AR would be able to do such a basic thing since even FRD had that ability. but oh well your product is STILL worlds ahead of the other options I've tried. You might consider this as a possible function to implement in a future version perhaps?
