Explorer Integration

Currently I use the portable version of ARen: created a desktop shortcut. Have added ARen to the contextmenu using Shellto.

I would whether it would be possible to have a kind of contextmenu submenu of Advanced Renamer.

Example: when working with Explorer and you wish to rename a couple of file, you ctrl select them and right mouse click on Advanced Rename, the files are then loaded into ARen and from there on you can continue the usual way.

Think this is a good idea, hope there is sufficient support here to persuade Kim to (at least) investigate if this would be possible... :-)

As I might have mentioned elsewhere, this feature has been a part of Advanced Renamer some time ago. Unfortunately the feature had a couple of bugs that I couldn't figure out how to fix so the feature was dropped. But I will try to add this feature one more time.

I cannot promise it will be part of version 3.0 but I will investigate it for a later release.

Reply to #2: Bumping an old thread with renewed request for an explorer context SUBmenu to perform UserPresets on selected items directly from Explorer...would be very handy for simple things like: replace 'space' with '_', adding dates & counters or changing case with less clicking (similar to RenameMan). Something like:
