Some CDs are meant to be played in a certain order. However, often mp3 files are not numbered at all, their names do not have numbers as a prefix, respectively. In this case the tracks are not imported into AdvancedRenamer in the order the tracks would be listed on the sleeve of a CD, but alphabetically.
Especially in the case of a live CD that don't make a lot of sense -- try listening to a Doors Live CD with songs played in alphabetical order and you'll get my point. Maybe there is an easy way to rename (=renumber) tracks in their correct order, yet I haven't been able to find it. Thus I'd appreciate any hints and ideas that would save me renaming plenty of songs "by hand" - many thanks in advance! |

Try adding the track number in front of the filename with tags such as <ID3 Track> with an add method in AR else, you could try with foobar2000 and try tagging files using the online database freedb, then use the <ID3 Track> in AR, or something like that.. cheers |
