Hi Kim

For your next version - please check the shell integration.

I'm using Windows 7.

From my context menu clicked on folder & file selections the Renamer opens but does not add files. I have to drag & drop files...

Thanks

You don't even receive an error message? Have you tried turning off the context menu, close AR, open AR again and turn on the context menu again?

Hi Kim,

Thanks for this awesome software.

I also have this problem with shell. I`ve just downloaded the latest version and enabled the context option, which shows, but doesn`t open any files or folders.

I`ve tried switching the option off, closing the program, opening it again and re-enabling, but it still doesn`t work.

Advanced renamer opens when I right click a folder, but there is nothing there.

I`m using Windows7, 32 bit version.

Hmm ... that seems odd. Can you give me a little more details.

1. If you drag the folder onto Advanced Renamer does it behave as expected and does it add the expexted files/folders?

2. What kind of files does the folder contain?

3. Have you tried restarting your computer?

4. When you right click a folder in explorer, does it say "Add to Advanced Renamer" in the menu?

5. Do you have multiple versions of Advanced Renamer installed?

Hi Kim,

Thanks for replying. I did try rebooting but it was the same.

But...its now working after I`ve tried dragging and dropping. That worked fine. Now when I click on any folder that also works fine. Looks like envoking the drag/drop kick started the shell.

Strange, but all good. :)

It was only a file of jpegs, but I had also tried it with pdfs. And yes, the option to 'Add to Advanced Renamer' was there. I`m just using the one portable version.

Anyway, all good now, so many thanks.
