Sounds similar to a problem I come across sometimes.
What are the 'steps/dialog messages invovled' for how you are adding folders/files
when you get the error(s)?

I am using the add selected, then Add root folders and add subfolders. I also try Add option above the center pane same issue

Seems when AR is open it locks the folders and cannot be renamed. When you exit AR you can rename the folder or delete

Yes, it seems when you have sub-folders along with the roots, stuff like that happens.
With me, it will usually rename any roots that don't have subs in them, but ones that
do don't get renamed (error: access denied). It happens when folders are loaded
from different locations.

My main workaround for this has been to always drag and drop 'roots only' from explorer.
It seems to almost always work that way.

Not sure what's up. I tried expressing this to the author. He couldn't reproduce. But I only
expressed test situation as drag and drop (folders with subs).
