Hello,
I don't know anything about programming or the scripts at Advanced Renamer (or in general), but... I would like to do as described above. Use the <ExifTool:FileName> of my pictures and videos to change the <ExifTool:DateTimeOriginal>. The files are named according to the scheme <Year><Month><Day>_<Hour><Minute><Second>. jpg. For example: 20171119_165711. jpg Thank you for your support and help in advance. |

Sorry, I meant the thread title, The name should not be changed. Just the ExifDate should be changed based on the filename. Example: //filename: 20171119_194001.jpg //Exifdate: 19.11.2017 19:40:01 Thanks for quick response. |

>>>Just the ExifDate should be changed based on the filename. See, Advanced Renamer is a tool to modify the file name. Therefore it can read and utilize the EXIF data. https://www.advancedrenamer.com/user_guide/getti ngstarted https://www.advancedrenamer.com/user_guide/exift ool To modify the files content, f.ex. the EXIF data, you have to use another tool. There are EXIF tools with a GUI also, even one for the exiftool.exe, see there forum or ask Google. HTH |
