Sort before renumbering

It would be convenient if I could sort on a column before a renumbering.
Imagine for example my filenames start with a number, next a date and finally a location (city):
15-20171005_Paris and more text
18-20171203_Amsterdam and more text
20-20171108_Zagreb and more text

Files are initially sorted based on the number in column 1
If I want the numbering based on the city I sort on column 13 first and next renumber the first numbers.
If I want numbering based on date, I sort on column 4 first and next renumber the first numbers.

I hope that in the future this option can be added to the program.
