Hey guys. I am a complete noob to this software, so this is probably a pretty stupid question. I am trying to rename all of my photos with the date they were taken but it puts the date taken at the front of the original filename. How do I make it so that it replaces the whole filename to just the date taken?

I'm getting the date by choosing Add then putting in ___ |

OK, then use Add method/New Name and use those variables ... you'll see in the right-hand pane what the result will be. You said "How do I make it so that it replaces the whole filename to just the date taken?" I assume this to mean mean you want a new name, based on the date etc. |

Thanks, that was exactly what I was looking for. Is there a way to have multiple file names that will end up having the same name, have a number at the end? Just say there are 5 pictures out of 100 that are duplicates, am I able to put an incrementing number on just those, rather then the entire set? |
