Had to rename a bunch of files to conform w plex and now also need to rename all the back-ups else I get duplicate files 1 for each name. Any way to do this?

Can't make sense of what you want. Could you explain further, maybe with an example?

Reply to #2: Have a DIR on my PC with many folders that I renamed the contents of to comply with PLEX standards.
I also have these same folders backed up on 2-3 USB drives which would be nice to rename too without going thru the program again.
IE when I do it by hand, I create a .bat file which I then copy to each backup drive and run it again. I know I could 'just' re-backup everything, but it is time consuming. My thinking is that Adv-Ren creates a list of renames internally (we can see the results in the right window)....how hard would it be to write it out to a .txt or .bat file as: " rename org-name new-name "

Check oput https://www.advancedrenamer.com/user_guide/metho d_list

So if the contents of the PC folder and the USB backups are identical, you drag everything from the PC folder in, sort (!), save the list, clear the main window, drag everything in from the USB drive, sort the same way, apply the list.

Be careful, though, this can be a recipe for disaster.

Recipe for disaster indeed! Plus I would need to do it for each of my backup drives.
Guess the simple answer is No, there is no simple way to save the batch job to apply to backup dir's.
Thanks for your help

Maybe not, in AR.

You may well have a decent backup tool, but if not, I would strongly recommend https://bvckup2.com/

I use this to do what you require, namely, "Select a pair of folders and it will make sure that one stays an exact copy of the other" .... etc
