Hi there!
I wanted to use Advanced Renamer for renaming my vacation phtographs. Because I took some with my cell and some with my camera, the names are a mess. I wanted to rename the DSC_012345.jpgs to Date_HoursMinutesSeconds, as this is what my cellphones saves pictures as and it would help with sorting them. BUT! I just realized that my camera has the wrong timestamp. Because I forgot to change the time on my camera, the time of creation is 7 hours behind (because of the time difference). Is there a way to do simple maths in the renamer, say like <Hours+7> ? Thanks for your help, in advance! |

It would be good to change your camera Exif DateTime to correct for the 7 hours at source, but AR is not set up to write Exif data. If you want to, check out something like EXIF Date Changer at https://www.relliksoftware.com/exifdatechanger/h ome/features But AR will do what you want in 2 easy steps. 1. Change the Timestamp to -7 hours https://www.advancedrenamer.com/user_guide/metho d_timestamp Note that this will just change FILE timestamp, NOT the Exif Timestamp Timestamp method Apply to: select all 3 Delta data & time Enter -7 into "Hour" 2. Rename the files based on the Timestamp Rename Method using Datetime modified tags https://www.advancedrenamer.com/user_guide/tags_ datetimemodified Take care if your images were taken before the clocks changed! This is a known issue, as Windows Explorer will represent the Date/Time differently .... just double check your values. These 2 Methods can be set up to run sequentially, so you don't have to re-import your files. Check the result in the main screen ("New Filename"). I strongly recommend that you select Program/Settings/Image files and use "Date Original" for "EXIF field for image date time operations". HTH |
