What version of AR are you using? https://www.advancedrenamer.com/versionlog v3.81 * CSV Import: Changed to use UTF-8 encoding Maybe that's it? |

Thanks for the reply. Am using v3.82 I will give it a try again, exporting to CSV UTF-8 tried that yesterday, but it failed. Did some file name cleanup, maybe that helps. Let's see. later: same error ... i give up. |

Sorry to hear that. All I can advise is to email Kim directly, see https://www.advancedrenamer.com/support |

I have used this before with success very recently in fact and now get the same error when trying to import a CSV. Seems ti be since the upgrades. Using 3.82. Did the original poster find a solution? |

I found a solution - remove version 3.82 and re-install version 3.80 - works perfectly |

@Pete Magee Nope... My workaround was to copy paste the stuff into an editor (EditPadPro) and have the text converted in there. Thereafter things went fine. Maybe it is going to be 'fixed' within Advanced Renamer, some time in future. |

I found out that diacritical marks (e.g. "é") render this fault. Solution is to use Excel's find/replace function and change all é, ë, ï, c-cedille etc in your worksheet befor exporting to CVS-format. Cheers, Erik |
