Hi guys. I have a need to move files in a folder to a subfolder, and append date/time to each one. Because this is a move the file should be deleted from the original folder. I'm going to want this job to be called as a batch file from another program. I'm trying to get up to speed fast on this product so I don't have a lot of time to play around with it.
This seems like a good tool - any reason this couldn't be done with Advanced Renamer? Any chance you could give me the high level steps to set this up? Thanks in advance for any help. |

Oh, I would like to use the Command Line Configuration tool under the Program item, as it appears to have a Save to .bat file button at the bottom which would be helpful.

Start here https://www.advancedrenamer.com/user_guide/batch mode and have a browse ... Yes, you should be able to use AR to move files as you require. It would be best if you give it a go and then come back to the Forum to resolve any issues .... without looking over your shoulder, it's impossible to know your set-up, detailed requirements etc. |
