I have a RAM head unit that can search alphabetically for songs. Unfortunately to use that feature, I have to strip all the track numbers from the files before they can be searched (not an easy proposition when it numbers in the thousands of songs) I initially tried the trim function, but discovered that it was stripping numbers from both ends of the file, leading to errors if Disc numbers also get removed. (eg. Call Me The Breeze Lynyrd Skynyrd One More From The Road Disc 1 and Call Me The Breeze Lynyrd Skynyrd One More From The Road Disc 2) Is there a quick way to trim files across multiple folders without creating errors?

Look at Remove pattern or Replace methods. Can't help beyond that unless you post examples of the original filenames you need to rename.
