I was wondering if there is a way to start the program automatically when you drag a file into the filename area?

I would like to not have to press the "Start batch" button.

Best,

I think the way the program fundamentally works is that you are supposed to check if the new filename is as per your requirements first using the "New Filename" preview column, and then Start Batch once you are satisfied there are no deviations.

Hence, I doubt there is a way to do this organically.

Whilst there doesn't appear to be any way to do this from the Windows program you could probably achieve it using the command line version (arenc.exe) - if you are able to write a sufficiently cunning script or batch program.

See www.advancedrenamer.com/user_guide/commandline and click "program"=>"Command line configuration..." in the main program, for more information.
