1. Often, when several methods are loaded into the action panel it would be helpful to turn them off (and back on) rather than having to remove them altogether.

2. With a batch that has multiple operations, e.g. many replace commands, it would also be helpful to have the option of adding a name to the method title bar e.g. 'Strip -' so that you can tell which Replace is which, especially when trying to get multiple steps in the right order.

I am afraid the user interface will get too cluttered with functionality only used by a small number of people. I expect to enhance the functionality related to saved method lists. That might do the trick for you in 80% of the cases.

Keeping a clean interface is generally welcome. And there's always a friction between adding extra functions and overwhelming (new) users.

What I had in mind for the on/off feature was simply a radio button in the method title bar.

I'll look forward to seeing your planned enhancements.

A new button to disable methods without deleteing would be a great new function

And if you disable all from bottem to top. and reenable them step by step you can see what which method does if there is no description set

That's what I'm looking for. It would be useful for trying out alternative RegEx statements - particularly for those encountering them for the first time through AR.

You'd probably want to add a button to enable/disable all as well.

That's just my view though, so it would be interesting to know what others think about how the method handling might evolve in future.
