Why TV show import was removed in versión 3.89?

I downloaded and tested version 3.89. I really liked most of the improvements, but I won't be using it because the TV show import, which I use frequently, has been removed. I wonder why it was removed if it worked very well and is very useful. Will it be possible to restore it in a future version of the program? Thank you for your attention.

The 3.89 version is unofficial, download the 3.88 version from here: https://www.advancedrenamer.com/download

Sitting here reading this on 8/23/2023, 3.89 appears to be official and is still missing the TV Show import feature. Could you say a bit more about this? Will it be added back at some point in the near future? I uninstalled 3.89 and reverted to 3.88, but do like the GUI changes of the newer version. Thanks, Registered User, Jeff |

Wondering myself. No mention of this regression in the release notes.

I want to make the software easier to maintain in the future. To accomplish this I have removed some library and component dependencies. This means there are no more TV import. Sorry, sometimes you have to remove features in order to move forward. The development of the software has been slow the last couple of years, but I want to change that, so that we can have the long awaited Advanced Renamer 4.0.

I can't believe you've removed the TV show (import) feature. THAT was the main reason for me to buy this program! I've already bought a license so it probably won't be much of a loss for you but I will not support AR in the future. Guess I'll stick to using the older version. Such a shame you decided to remove it :( EDIT: I don't see how removing an often used feature is going forward... I bet many people use this feature. |

If you want an easy way to rename your TV Shows check out sonarr. I use this for my other files and it works great, but I haven't use the TV import in a long time because of using the arr series of software.
