Adding files to a folder already renamed
Apologies if this has been answered already. This is a great program.
I have a query.
If I have already processed a folder with Renamer, and then add additional files at a later date, will those files be renamed with the same name and be given a sequential number which fits the original batch? Ie if there were 54 files, will the additions start at number 55?
Cheers
Guy

Hi Guy,
Depends on the method you used. If it includes the tag <IncNrDir> or <IncNr>, without a specified starting point (like <IncNrDir:1>) AND the name is changed so that everything else is the same, then yes, it will continue the series at the next available number.
If you used a Renumber method to do the deed then no, it won't.
You could have just loaded the files and looked at the preview column, ya know... :)
Best,
