How to move the contents of a subfolder to the next higher folder containing that subfolder

Please help! I'm not a beta user and have tried various things, but without the desired results.
I want to move the contents (both folders and files) of a subfolder to the next higher folder containing that subfolder.
I see that I have to specify the destination folder each time to accomplish this (files). However, there are many folders involved (in my music collection). Is there a way to do this automatically when I select the different subfolders?
Thank you very much in advance for your efforts.

It looks like this is a problem that can be solved using a file manager.
Why do you want to use Advanced Renamer?

Thanks for your reply.
I can do this manually with Windows Explorer (cmd) and Total Commander, but not if I want to move files in 100 folders simultaneously to the corresponding root folder.
That's why I'm pinning my hopes on AR.

Without an example I'm not sure I understand the issue.

If you use the move batch mode you can set the output folder to a relative path. I don't know if that helps.

Dear Kim, Thank you for your response. Here's an example:

'Map1' contains the subfolder 'MapA', 'MapB', 'MapC', 'MapD'
'MapA' contains 5 files, for example: xxx.flac, xxx.jpg, xxx.cue, xxx.log, xxx.txt
'MapB' contains 5 files, for example: x1x.mp3, x1x.jpg, x1x.cue, x1x.log, x1x.txt
'MapC' contains 3 files, for example: x2x.flac, x4x.mp3, x4x.jpg
'MapD' contains the folder "VIDEO_TS" with 3 files: VIDEO_.VOB, VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.BUP
I use the search engine "Search everything".
In it, I search and select the subfolders 'MapA', 'MapB', and 'MapC' from 'Map1'; I don't select 'MapD'.

The result should be:
'Map1' contains the subfolder 'MapA', 'MapB', 'MapC', 'MapD' and 13 files:
xxx.flac xxx.jpg xxx.cue xxx.log xxx.txt (from 'MapA'), and
x1x.mp3 x1x.jpg x1x.cue x1x.log x1x.txt (from 'MapB'), and
x2x.flac x4x.mp3 x4x.jpg (from 'MapC').
The subfolders 'MapA', 'MapB', and 'MapC' are now empty, while 'MapD' remains unchanged.

This way, I select the desired subfolders from other folders and 'paste' this selection into AR.
I also use this method from "Search everything" in AR to change folder or file names, and it works fine. I'll make sure there are no duplicate names in advance (in the worst case, I'll get a warning from AR).

As happy as I am with your programming Kim, I'm hoping AR can take a lot of the (time-consuming, manual) work off my hands.
I'm curious!
Kind regards and I look forward to hearing from you.
