List Replace Bug

in the column Replace if i use shift plus colon it acts as the tab key and moves the cursor
to the column "Replace with", in fact i can't copy and paste a colon by way of Shift plus Insert in column "replace', but i can shift plus insert a colon into column 'replace with'

are colon's not allowed in the column called 'replace'?
also i can not right click and paste at all, is right click and paste coming in the future

In version 3.95 you could use colon's and right click and paste
In version 4.06 you could use colon's but not right click and paste

Current Version 4.15

Hi HOBBS,

The colon is not a character allowed in a filename, so it's impossible that you found it in one.
Trying to insert a colon in the "Replace with" column triggers an error alert from the program.

Cheers :-)

Hi,
waiting for Kim Jensen's reply, I believe tags might not be permitted in the List replace method.

I need to reserve a special character for separation of the first and second column. Previously the character was =, but people complained that they couldn't replace = in filenames. Since = is a valid filename character it is a valid complaint. I then changed it to : which is rarely allowed in filenames. But of course that makes it impossible to use tags with parameters in the first column.

Thank you, Styb, Kim

at lease i know why

maybe this character, the one called tilde could be used for separation, of course it too might be used a lot so someone else might complain as you say.

anyway thanks for the reply, knowing why helps, no bug.

any chance of right click and paste being brought back?, currently as you know you only get clear and remove row with right click.

Thank you

I will find a fix. Hopefully for next the release next week.

The right click copy/paste should work, but you might have to be more precise when clicking. You might have to left click the text field before you right click it.
