Performance with Network Attached Storage
Hi, I'm using v4.20 on Windows 11 Pro.
I also have a NAS device (Synology 925+) that I mapped network drives to.
I am able to browse and process files on Arenamer from the network drives but I just wanted to know if this is fully supported or is it better to work on local files only.
Thanks,
Eitan

Hi Eitan,
I've been using Synology NASs for over ten years with ARen, with no problems I can ascertain. They were older units, DS1512+, but I can only suppose that newer units would be fully compatible as well. As of now I'm doing everything on Thunderbolt-attached SSDs, and of course that's MUCH faster. If you can do that for most of your processing you'll probably be happier, but it's certainly not necessary.
Best,
DF
