Rename 5000+ .jpg and .mp4 based on CreateDate
Hi
I just found Advanced Renamer - via a friend, seems like a very VERY nice tool!
After having used some time on it, testing...then I do now know how to do this:
I by accident renamed an entire folder with 5000+ images to the same date and time plus a counter in the end, NOT a succes!! :)
Now I would like to rename them back based on "CreateDate", does anyone know how this could be done?

Hello Anden.
The New Name method will help you with that.
If you want to keep the current name:
New Name: <Name> - <Date Created:yyyy-mm-dd> (if you want to add hours-min-sec use this instead <Date Created:yyyy-mm-dd_hh-mm-ss>)
If you want a completely new name:
New Name: <Inc Nr:1> - My New Name - <Date Created:yyyy-mm-dd>
Adding a counter at the beginning will avoid problems with names.
You can also use the Add method:
Add: <Date Created:yyyy-mm-dd>
This will add the creation date to the current name. You can put it at the beginning or at the end of the name.

Hi all,
I just wanted to add, it seems a lot of people don't get that you can UN-rename any batches you don't want to keep, so you can start from square one on the next try at renaming.
Best regards,
DF

Hi Miguel
Thank you! I was right-clicking on the image itself and totally disregarding that "New Name" in the bottom left corner :)
I left a counter at the end so I can sort by date (year, month, day - time)
Thanks again!
Regards
Anden
