Update EXIF version in AR
Some tags I need in my jpgs are readable in version 13.58 of EXIF Tool, but are not coming up within Advanced Renamer as valid tags when I use <ExifTool:tagname>.
It looks like the program comes "packaged" with EXIF Tool v 12.76. This version doesn't "see" the tags I need.
Is there a way to import or update or point AR to the newer version of EXIFTools?
Thank you

Welcome Chris,
I haven't tried it yet but you can:
1) Make a safety copy of "C:\Program Files\Advanced Renamer\exiftool.exe" (or wherever your install is).
2) Replace exiftool.exe, in the Aren folder, with the latest version.
3) Start Aren and see if it works.
4) Let us know the results.
Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I should have mentioned this, I tried a straight replace of the exiftool.exe in the AR folder with the new exif tool and it did not work.
When I added an image into the queue, "EXIF Error" appeared in the error column of the main window

Drat. But thanks for the attempt and report.
Send Kim a note about this via the email support as I'm not sure when he will see this thread.
