AR running at 20% of CPU cycles when It's doing nothing

I'm wondering why AR is running at about 20% of my CPU cycles when it's doing nothing. It's the most demanding application on my system. It's listed as VERY HIGH power usage. Constantly.
And the AR window only has 14 methods in it. I have batches that are over 300 methods and I don't remember it ever showing a very high power trend. I only noticed it after I upgraded to v3.84.
