Deleted all of my files during a batch rename

This is the last time I try an app from set apps.. I swear- I was batch editing the date and timestamp- hit apply.. a window popped up and said something already has that date and time and asked if I wanted to continue..I thought "yea, I want them all the same.." instead it merged all of my files into one photo and the others are now gone and wont undo!? What happen to non-destructive and smart undo? Where is this back up your site mentions!? This just seriously screwed me. Why would you even have delete as a functionality in a RENAMER. Please advise.
