Hi! I have reinstalled Windows on a new HDD and I am in the process of reinstalling programs. I have installed Advanced Renamer and it works, but not with ExifTool.

I have downloaded exiftool-11.84.zip, unzipped it, removed the (-k) from the name and moved it to C:\Windows. I have checked that this folder is on the system PATH. I can execute exiftool just by typing it on the command window in any folder, which attests that it is installed correctly. However, Advanced Renamer is unable to find it. When I click the ExifTool button it opens a window asking to install exiftool. When I type <ExifTool:Model> in the New Name window it produces the error Invalid tag on the first file and EixfToll error on the following.

I would appreciate if someone could help me.

The plot thickens. If the box on the new name is not clicked Advanced Renamer loads all filenames without problems. If I click on any filename and then click on ExifTool button all happens as expected. When I click (ticks) on the New Name box the first two filenames are renamed as they should, the third gives the error I mentioned above (Invalid tag) and the following lines ExifTool, error, but one line is ok. This line is one of the lines I tested the ExifTool button earlier.
After this, even if I unclick the New Name box the ExifTool button no longer works.
I closed and restarted Advanced Renamer. I selected a few filenames and clicked the ExifTool button for each one in turn. When the New Name box was ticked, the rename worked for those I had selected as above, for the others the same error pattern was reproduced.
It is very odd.
Any ideas, anyone?
