Hi
I have tens of thousands of photos that I'm trying to organise and remove duplicates from. The duplicates side I have covered (using Directory Opus) but I'm using Advanced Renamer for the renaming because I'm using the EXIF data for the file and folder construction. Advanced Renamer has been awesome except for one issue - number of files. Outside of the processing time (and not knowing if the program REALLY isn't responding anymore) the issue I have is with the name collision rule. Originally I was using the increment number in a script, but because I'm now having to process in smaller batches due to the large number of files this isn't the best increment method as it has no idea about the previously named batches. I thought the Name Collision Rule option would be the answer, but it also seems to only increment for files within the currently processed batch. AR knows there is a file with the same name on disk, is there a way for the name collision rule to keep incrementing until it no longer collides with the file on disk? Cheers Matt |
