I'm using AR for quite a while. Recently I had to renew my PC and re-installed v3.87. With the new machine I can not rename my HEIC files anymore with <Img Year><Img Month><Img Day>... It only works with jpg but no longer with the Heigh Efficiency Format. I prefer not to use <ExifTool:DateTimeOriginal>. Reason being the diffrent and less flexible arrangement of the tags within the new name.
Anyone has a hint to solve this mystery? THANKS. |

Reply to #1: PARTLY SOLVED but THEN LOST AGAIN :: In case anyone else faces such issue
I removed the 3.87 Installation. Then did a deep clean including registry. After Installing the renamer again, it worked fine. I then found that the command PAIR RENAME seems not to work with HEIC files. At least if I swithced it on the renaming by <IMG YEAR< etc. was cone completely. So it seemed renaming worked as long as I do not use PAIR RENAME. That is bad news for my APPLE LIVE-PHOTOS, which consist of a HEIC and a MOV-File with the same name. So now I can rename the HEIC but the Clip will not be taken along. Anyone has a solution. After fiddeling with above pair renaming, all of a sudden the FIRST ISSUE IS HERE AGAIN.. Re-installing did not change anything yet ... frustrating. I will now remove completely and see if a restart and re-installation makes any difference. |
