If you want an answer then you will have to explain your problem - mind reading isn't part of my version of Windows!

I am using version 3.87. OS: Windows 10. Short name files inserting without problems. My files names 100-150 characters. They are unable to insert. No error. But my list is still blank. |

I cannot replicate your problem. Txt Files with names of length 104, 130 & 156 alphabetic characters can be added to the list and display correctly. Win 10 pro ARen 3.87 64bit |

Thank you for your test. I tested too. .TXT files are no problem over 200 characters. But I am using for thousands of photo .PNG .JPG files (3-20MB each) with long names. Drag and drop is unsuccessful for longer than 100 character long name files. :) |

Drag-and-drop works for me with a 3.3MB png file with 122 character filename. However Windows still has a maximum path length restriction of 260 characters. If your photo files are on an external drive I wonder if this may be your problem. If so, and your Windows 10 has been updated to a recent version (1607 or later), then you can remove this restriction with a Registry or Group Policy edit. see: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/f ileio/maximum-file-path-limitation |
