Slow analysing files

Hi all,
Been using AR for years - absolutely love it. Have an issue recently where it's awful slow analysing a folder I've dragged in. After an event with 1500-2000 photos, it can take a 15-20 mins. Don't think it's the app tbh - probably windows related, or an update or something. Wondering if anyone had this before and has some pointers. |

A bit more info - my raw files are on a Synology NAS, and I'm running Windows 10. Just took about 15 mins to analyse 2272 files. Only took about 25s to actually rename them. |

Do you actually need ARen to analyze all the image files on loading? Try selecting "Don't analyze image metadata" on the "Image files" tab of the "Settings" dialogue. |

Thank you. No I don't! Did not even know that was an option. I've turned it off and re-started it. Still tries to analyse, but I can cancel that. Takes a few seconds and then they're all listed ready for work. Cheers for responding. |
