"Analyzing Files" speed

Hi. When I Add 3000-4000 files (all images), the Analyzing Files dialog comes up and can take many hours before it finishes. Sometimes I can cancel, but most of the time canceling does nothing, it just keeps going. Is this normal? Am I missing something? I'm not sure what it is analyzing, but my renaming needs are pretty simple. I don't mind the actual renaming time, this is about just loading the files into the system so that I can rename them.

Try selecting "Don't analyze xxxx metadata" in the "Settings" dialogue,
Program -> Settings -> "Image files" and "Music & video files" tabs |

Thanks. I've tried that and the program still tries to analyze the files. I tried restarting the program to make sure the change stuck and it did. These are simple jpg files, nothing unusual I think. The extension is in all caps, but I don't think that should matter. |
