Feature Request - Disable File Analysis Globally

When adding large amounts of files from a network drive the analyzing files stages takes forever and hangs entirely in some cases. Sometimes I'm able to hit the cancel button to stop analyzing files but that usually just makes it crash.

I've checked the Don't analyze metadata box for Images, music, and video files but it still tries to analyze when renaming .zip files for example.

I tried adding my files using the Load List feature but that still triggers file analysis.

I've seen several posts about this in the forum asking for a way to disable file analysis globally or to be able to easily skip that analysis stage so a feature like that would be great!

EDIT:
I've just installed the 4.0 beta and did a test by loading 5500 files from a mapped network drive and file analysis only took 7 seconds! Amazing work!

Are you using tags? Some tags will trigger file metadata analysis. But I promise it will be better. Version 4.0 is both faster at analysing files and it does it more intelligently.

I just tried adding a bunch of files with no renaming methods at all and it still triggered analysis.

I can't wait to see 4.0, I use Advanced Renamer almost daily so thank for all your hard work :)

Hi,
same problem for me. I takes ages to analyze data from a network drive, even though I ticked all the "don't analyze" boxes in the settings AND when there is not a single method in use. So there shouldn't be any reason at all to make me wait 10min just to add ~300 images.
Canceling the analyze popup makes the program freeze/crash.

Additional big: the progress bar sometimes restarts its way 0 at some timepoint, only to then skip to finish.

Nevertheless many thanks!

Same here. I explained my experience in a separate post. Seems like version 4.0 will address this problem.

I hope 4.0 will also permit adjusting font size.
