Suddenly very slow starting & new version issues

I noticed the program has gotten very very slow opening. Also I downloaded the new version and the screen is all blue and all of the "buttons" don't work. Am I missing something? Is anyone else experiencing these issues? Any suggestions?

Hi Linda,

I haven't really noticed what you are talking about. Which version exactly did you install? (The release date below the download screen will work). Which buttons exactly aren't you able to use, and what happens when you press them?

I'm using the very latest version, 3.95 v4 (it's at the bottom of the download page) and it's been awesome. It fixes a lot of little nagging issues with screen real estate that I've been wishing would get fixed. I was having some problems with earlier versions with one of the method list buttons at the top, but that seems fine now.

I don't know what you mean by "the screen is all blue." Do you mean that it's in "dark" mode, because I don't remember for sure but that may be the default view mode. You can go into settings and check.

As to slow, you can try going to the \Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Hulubulu\Advanced Renamer 3\Data\UndoLists and deleting your old undo lists (sort by windows date modified and delete as many as you feel comfortable doing without–or even just move them to another directory, which is what I sometimes do). I can't swear to it but I think that can help load time.

Thank you for your reply. I uninstalled and reinstalled and that seems to have solved the slow startup issue.

If I could figure out how to attach a photo, I would show you what my screen looks like--nothing like it ever did before.
