Hi there,
First of all, thank you for your excellent program. My question is about renaming text files based on their content. Is it possible to rename text files using the whole first line of the text file instead of renaming them by position of characters? If no will this option be implemented in future versions? There is no way of doing this at the moment. But I have added your request to my todo list and will consider implementing it at some point. |

If I understand the dates properly, seems it's pretty low on the todo list, and I can't blame de devs, this is probably very specific feature that not too many ppl will use anyway. I can suggest a python script to do so instead tho, would do the job just fine on those special case where you need to rename a list of text files based on their content. Fully tunable to exactly what you want.. I could write you a quick one, send me zipped example text files, with a detailed explanation of your need, and I'll pastebin you the script or see if I can package something if this is too complicated [email protected] cheeers! |
