In the 4.12 release notes it says
Upgraded regular expression engine for use in renaming methods Is there more information on what exactly changed or how it was upgraded from the previous version? |

It is a newer version of the same regex engine. I do not have an overview of what has changed exactly, but I know it implements more regex features than the previous version. |
