Hello, I really like AdvancedRenamer and use it frequently. However, today I came across a couple of issues that I would like to report.

- I wanted to do a batch copy to copy files ending with extension .vpp to .bak. So I setup a method to change the extension (and unchecked/disabled another method I had been using). Thus I had 2 methods present, but ONLY one enabled/active. When I started the batch copy, the Start Renaming confirmation box shows that 2 methods will be performed when it really should only show the count of active/enabled methods. This was confusing. It may happen with renaming too, but I did not try it - only with the copy.

- I wanted to use the "collision" rules today since I had some files already backed up with .bak. Thus I wanted AdvancedRenamer to use the collision rule Append incrementing number. It doesnt work - all I get is that there are files already with that name and it won't run/rename those! I don't believe this is the correct behavior. For example, I have a file named "44141.vpp" and a former backup named "44141.bak" present in the same folder. I want to rename the files with ".vpp" extensions to ".bak" I believe since a .bak file exists, the collision rule should take effect and rename it to .bak1. Likewise if .bak1 exists, it should use .bak2, etc. basically append a number to the new extension (.bak ) according to the collision rule. I feel this is a bug.

Would it please be possible to have these updated in a future build? Thank you very much for this incredible program.

Kindest Regards,
Nelson

The collision rules will not be applied to names colliding with existing files, only when colliding with files in the list.

Any way to make the collision rules can apply to existing files? It's nice to know there are collisions by showing them in the list like it does, but from the name of the collision it seems that it should rename the files or take effect on the existing files. This would be a really great feature!

Thank you,
Nelson
