What a great program!

I am trying to rename .mp3 files from a list using a .txt file. The user manual says I can use the <ID3 Artist> but can't figure out how to set up my list to make it work.

This is part of my list:

Wasted Days And Wasted Nights Freddy Fender.mp3

I tried:

Wasted Days And Wasted Nights.mp3 <ID3 Artist>Freddy Fender
Wasted Days And Wasted Nights.mp3 <ID3 Artist:Freddy Fender>

But the text in the renaming window turned red so I knew it wouldn't work.

Exactly how do I set up my text file to make it work?

Thanks a lot

First:
you should only provide the new name, I guess.
The list is processed "One Line <> One File" in current seen order.
There are no fancy features in this method.

Second:
If you already have the Author name, you don't need to add <ID3 Artist>
ARen only read the ID3 tags, it doesn't write it, if that was what you are after.

So I think you list should look like:

Wasted Days And Wasted Nights <ID3 Artist>.mp3

If that is what you need.
Your question is somehow unclear to me.
