Is there a way to create a log file showing what the file names were and what they were changed to? If not, please consider this a feature request. Also, if this isn't possible with AdvancedRenamer, does anyone know of file renaming software with this feature?

FYI, the Archivist community is recommending AdvanceRenamer to help process electronic records.

If you are using the command line utility you can turn on the logging option. The switch is -log. For more information please read http://www.advancedrenamer.com/user_guide/comma ndline

If you are not using the command line utility, the process will not get logged. But there might be a way anyway. This is because when you run your batch, Advanced Renamer will save information in the undo file. Each batch has its own undo file. You can use this file to see the old and the new filename. You will find the undo files by opening the Settings window and click the Open Folder button on the Environment tab.

I hope this helps you.
