Renaming batch files incrementally

Good morning from NZ.
Learning to use the great utility.
Wanting rename batch files incrementally like this

4. (filename).ext to
4.01 (filename).ext
4.02 (filename).ext to
4.14 (filename).ext

so that they are in order.

Your help in how to do this would be appreciated.

I also notice that the incremental numbering function does not allow for double digits number places so that files stay in order.

exanmple file s are rename 1 to 10 etc instead of 01 to 10.
