After upgrading to version 3.52 (both regular and portable versions) I get the following error each time I launch Advaced Renamer: "The system cannot find the file specified".
No methods are shown and no files could be added ("You cannot load more than 0 item into the list.")
All this is on Win XP and Win7 32-bit
Any help is really appreciated.

I have tested portable 3.52 on WinXP and have seen no problems.

Can you delete your AdvRen Data folder? Or do you need your old settings?
Or unpack the portable version to an new folder and test with this virgin version.

Stefan,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I deleted everything on my portable install on Win XP and reinstalled it, and it works now.

On my Win7 I did also a complete unsinstall. The uninstaller actually left the data folder intact, so I had to delete them manually. After a new install, everything seems to work now.

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback! Fine it works now for you.

Yes that's for your convenience if you want to install
an new version over and still keeps your settings.

(Tip: on Win7 AND if used the installer AND if UAC is enabled, the data
folder can be found under "Users\name\AppData\Roaming\Hulubulu\Advanced Renamer\")

But apparently that was the culprit in your case.
I am not sure if your old settings were corrupt anyway
or if the versions were incompatible. What version did
you use before?
