Ignore file format in ascending numbering!
I have been using Advanced Renamer for some time now and am very happy with it. The only problem I keep having is with image files that have a different format. (png, jpg, etc)
Is there a solution for this where I can tell AR to ignore it?
The following example / situation I have:
I am using the <Inc No:xx> command to generate a ascending numbering of Pictures.
Now I have images with random letters and number combination (e.g.: 7sjss0ffuogd1)
mostly these are all png but sometimes other format such as (jpeg)
I want to rename all the files to following: Picture 001, Picture 002, ....
if all images have the same format, everything is fine so far.
But if, for example, at no. 008 one is a png and the next is a jpeg, it gives me 2x Picture 008.jpg & Picture 008.png. But I don't want that, I want Picture 008.jpg & Picture 009.png and then continue with other files.
Is there a solution for this?
Would be very grateful for any help.

Hi Clemens,
You probably have file pair renaming on. Go to "Options / File pair renaming" and turn it off, that should eliminate the problem.
Read about it here:
https://www.advancedrenamer.com/user_guide/filepairs
If that doesn't solve the problem let us know, but that should do it.
Best,
DF
