Hi guys,
I get periodic updated images from my inventory supplier. The photos come named as <6-digit-ID> + random descriptor.jpg; for instance, 400110 side.jpg. The leading 6 digits are all consistently the product ID, so that is good and I want to keep that; but the random descriptors (could be side, back, case, detail, Detail, - detail, detail2, or others) need to be replaced with _<IncNr>. Like this: start with 400110 side.jpg, 400110 back.jpg, 400110 detail.jpg. Those need to be renamed to 400110_1.jpg, 400110_2.jpg, 400110_3.jpg. It seems Advanced Renamer can easily do this, but I'm struggling with the syntax. Is there a wildcard or placeholder? Something to tell the software to keep the first 6 digits but add the underscore and incrementing number. |

I guess you want to serialize (<IncNr>) only files with same '<6-digit-ID>' ? If the '<6-digit-ID>' change, start over '_<IncNr>' at zero again? |

Is there a way to specify the number of digits in the collisions rule when adding incremental numbers? I want the software to add only 2 digits, not 3. I.e. add _01 and _02 and _03, but it does _001 and _002 and _003. |

That's Not That much hard. Just Rename it Simply by clinking on that particular file and write filename as 40111_1.jpg. That it.
